Ruthern Valley Holidays

Nestled in a beautiful wooded valley near Bodmin Moor, this is a holiday site that offers a selection of accommodation styles, plus a fully equipped, designated camping and caravan area – you choose which you prefer.

They offer a holiday experience where you can get in touch with nature and the wildlife; a centrally based haven from where you can enjoy what Cornwall has to offer. It’s ideal for families (there is an unsupervised play area for the children), groups of friends and couples who wish to stay where there is no bar, no disco…and no bingo! However, they do have an on-site shop for basic groceries, locally sourced produce, ice-creams/confectionery, a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks plus camping gas and equipment.

Meadow Lakes Holiday Park

Set within 56 acres of beautiful meadows, woodlands and lakes, Meadow Lakes is an award winning, family run holiday park in St Austell. They offer holiday accommodation to suit most budgets - from luxury lodges, cottages, caravans and camping pods plus facilities for touring caravans, motorhomes and campers.                        

While at Meadow Lakes you can relax and enjoy fishing in beautiful lakes, or walks in the park. They have a heated outdoor swimming pool, a cosy cafe, indoor and outdoor play areas and a pets corner. They are a dog-friendly park but if you need to leave your dog to visit special attractions or beaches or dine out during the evening then contact us to arrange boarding for your pet.

Built into the cliff directly overlooking the Harbour, the restaurant, conservatory and terrace has superb views over seven of Newquay’s finest beaches. Dogs and their well-behaved owners are more than welcome.

The Harbour Fish and Grill by Aaron Janes was a grain store that was converted in the 1930s to a house and then in the 1950s to a hotel and restaurant.

Accommodation is available for those who would like to make a night of it, and stay. Check availability.

lanhydrock hotel and golf club

Hidden in a sheltered wooded valley in Bodmin, Cornwall, Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club is one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in the South West.

They can provide catering from 7am for those requiring sustenance before their round, and of course, no round of golf would be complete without the pleasure of sinking one in the nineteenth hole.

They also provide electric golf buggies, trolleys and pull trolleys.

Lanhydrock House

The National Trust's Lanhydrock, near Bodmin, is a magnificent late Victorian country house with extensive servants quarters, gardens and a wooded estate. The kitchens, nurseries and servants' quarters offer a thrilling glimpse into life 'below stairs', while the spacious dining room and bedrooms are truly elegant.

The house is set in wooded parkland of 1,000 acres and encircled by a garden of rare shrubs and trees.

Assistance dogs only are allowed at Lanhydrock. 

Eden Project

One of the most popular visitor destinations in Cornwall is nestled in a huge crater. Here, massive biomes housing the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, exhibitions and stories serve as a backdrop to striking contemporary gardens, summer concerts and exciting year-round family events. 

The Eden Project is only 15 minutes down the road from Creusa Kennels. Many of our customers find it convenient to give their pet a holiday at Creusa while they explore the amazing Eden Project.
